A Queen’s Heart
The crown is heavy — but it's love that lifts it.
Stop the Crime
& Violence
Born from the same streets she grew up on, Queen Kamarla’s Stop the Crime & Violence initiative was first staged in Trench Town in 2017. Using music as a vehicle of peace, the initiative brings rival communities together under one stage, one rhythm.
What began as a local concert series has grown into an international peace movement — spanning 36+ Jamaican communities, reaching the United States in 2021, and expanding to South Africa in 2022.
In 2024, the initiative evolved into a school tour format, focusing on youth education and prevention. Queen Kamarla visits schools delivering motivational sessions alongside musical performances.
“I’m tired of seeing all these videos floating around with children fighting in school. We have to save our children because they are the future.”
— Queen Kamarla, Jamaica Star, March 2024
The Campaign Timeline
Launch — Trench Town
Queen Kamarla launches the "Stop the Crime & Violence" concert series in Trench Town, Kingston. Music is her weapon of choice. The inaugural event brings rival communities together under one stage.
Across Jamaica (36+ Communities)
The initiative tours over 36 volatile inner-city Jamaican communities. Artists including Sizzla Kalonji, Lutan Fyah, Turbulance, Mr Peppa, Natty King, and many more join the cause across Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine, and Trelawny.
Litchfield Battlefield, Trelawny
A landmark tour stop on October 19, 2019 — the initiative takes the message to Litchfield, showing that the mission extends beyond Kingston's inner city to rural communities equally affected by violence.
United States Expansion
Post-pandemic, Queen Kamarla expands the initiative to the United States in collaboration with overseas-based promoters — taking the message of peace to Jamaican diaspora communities across North America.
South Africa
The initiative reaches South Africa — its third continent. Queen Kamarla brings her message of resilience and anti-violence to troubled communities, proving that music transcends borders.
School Tour — Youth Focus
The initiative relaunches in Jamaica with a school-focused format, targeting children directly. Events at Portsmouth Primary School (March 25–26, 2024). "We have to save our children because they are the future."
Communities Touched
36+ inner-city communities across Jamaica and internationally
Artists Who Stood Up
For the Children
When her son Kevon was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, Kamarla organized fundraising concerts and rallied her artist community to cover medical costs at the Cleveland Clinic and Bustamante Hospital for Children. His full recovery deepened her commitment to childhood health and youth mentorship.
“I’m not stopping. I know where I’m going, and I’m working every day to get there.”
Catalyst Entertainment Group
Founded by Queen Kamarla as A & K Catalyst ENT LLC, the label serves as both a music imprint and a social platform — a launchpad to greatness for artists rising out of the same streets that raised her, and a vehicle for the humanitarian work she continues to expand.
